Woodblock printmaking is a felt and natural language for me, carving lines to express emotions and depth of feeling. Using handmade Japanese paper and wood each color is carved into its own block. This small edition print is created with master New York City printer,
Kathy Caraccio at "Kathy Caraccio Studio"
Kathy is an institution in the print world. We produced a beautiful 16 in. W X 20 in H, 11 color woodblock with 5 blocks in total in a small edition. Part of my Arctic series, entitled, " Hambergbreen." after the great glacier, Hambergbreen. In the Arctic I observed the collapse of eco- systems, the melting of fresh water ice into sea ice which will affect long range sea currents across the globe.See the print here.
